Renata Reid
Artist, designer, poet, acupuncturist, not necessarily in that order and sometimes more than one at the same time. She has a B.F.A. from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. Renata originally designed fine jewelry in silver, gold and platinum before changing gears and getting a Master's degree in Asian Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
Art however, soon crept its way back in with big bold color as she became entranced by the movement of dye on silk. She now paints on yards at a time not knowing if the work will stand on its own on the wall or become further transformed into garments.
